Course syllabus

Part 1

WEEK 1: The Sounds and Shapes of Arabic – Part 1

Goal: Start reading and writing Arabic.

  • Introduction to 14 Arabic letters.

  • Listening and writing practice with guided recorded videos

  • Live session: reading exercises.

  • H.W: students will go through a text and highlight the letters he/she know.

WEEK 2: The Sounds and Shapes of Arabic – Part 2

Goal: Read and write full Arabic words.

  • Complete the alphabet

  • Listening and writing practice with guided recorded videos.

  • Live session: reading exercises.

  • H.W: students will read a short text and send a record.

By the end of Week 2 →
You’ll be able to
read any Arabic text with vowels (slowly but surely).


Part 2

WEEK 3: Building Sentences – Start Speaking

Goal: Make your first functional sentences.

  • Basic simple grammars with basic vocabularies: pronouns, possesion, definition article, questions, gender, suffixes and prefixes.

  • Step by step explination with slides and recorded video.

  • Live session: basic sentence creation

  • H.W: students will translate sentences from Arabic to English and from English to Arabic.

WEEK 4: foundation Verbs (Set 1)

Goal: Use 10 verbs in build more dynamic sentences..

  • Basic verbs: uses and conjugations

  • Step by step explination with slides and recorded video and audio record for repetation.

  • Live session: sentence creation and test.

  • H.W: students will write short texts using the words they learned.


Part 3

WEEK 5: foundation Verbs (Set 2)

Goal: Speak longer, more clearly and use connections

  • More verbs: uses and conjugations.

  • Step by step explination with slides and recorded video and audio record for repetation.

  • Live session: sentence creation and test.

  • H.W: students will write short texts using the words they learned.

WEEK 6: Review and closing

Goal: Use correctly all verbs and vocabularies

  • Review and repetition

  • Step by step explination with slides and recorded video and audio record for repetationn for the whole course.

  • Live session: Review and feedback.

  • H.W: I will give student material for practicing what they learned after course finish
